Cognizant convenes the Lady Tech Scholarships. An initiative that was born with the aim of increasing the presence of women in STEM careers and contributing to their being an active part of the ICT market. Today, according to the Organization of Ibero-American States, only the 13% of Spanish students enrolled in this type of career are women, despite the fact that they are already the majority in universities (58% of the total number of students). In the workplace, women workers hardly represent the 29% of total STEM workers, as collected by the Women's Institute.
The Cognizant Lady Tech Scholarships are aimed at all those women among them 18 and 25 years who are studying or want to pursue computer engineering careers, telecommunications, mathematics, statistics or double degrees that include some of these degrees in a Spanish university. Starting froml 2 November and until the next 26 of that month, all interested parties can request one of the 20 scholarships in https://careers.cognizant.com/studentandinterns/es/es. The amount of the scholarship is 500 euros and only applicable to subjects taken in the first call.

Interested parties should send an email, before the end of the call, to crecruitspain@cognizant.com putting in the subject “Lady Tech” and providing the following documentation:
- Request document
- Phone number
- Photocopy of DNI or NIE
- Photocopy of proof of payment of tuition
- Photocopy of college tuition where you specify the number of call for each subject
The scholarships will be assigned according to the order of application and will be paid to the beneficiaries during the first half of February. This scholarship is not compatible with the MEC scholarship or other grants, scholarships or grants.
