Alvaro Martin, student of the school, vencedor del concurso 'Comienza El Camino con tu videojuego'

Last day 25 in October of 2021 took place the ceremony of delivery of the prizes of the contest ‘Start The Way with your video game’, a competition organized by the Junta de Castilla y León for young talents, with the collaboration of the Science Park of the University of Valladolid, was aimed at undergraduate and master's students, as well as students of Higher Degree Training Cycles of centers of Castilla y León.

The winners of the contest have been Álvaro Martín, student of Computer Engineering of our School of Computer Engineering of Valladolid and Mario Uwongse, student of the higher degree of Web Application Development of the CIFP Camino de la Miranda de Palencia. His project 'La Compostela' is a game to promote the Camino de Santiago in which to play they are scanning beacons signaling the road to answer questions in augmented reality. The hits are exchanged for discounts in establishments in the area, thus promoting the local economy. For this first prize, endowed with 2.500 EUR, the jury has valued the originality of the proposal, by getting involved in tourist services and trade around the Jacobean route.
