Open call for the II Talgo Award for Professional Excellence of Women in Engineering

Talgo has launched the call for the second edition of the “TALGO Award for Professional Excellence of Women in Engineering”, an award that seeks to reward those engineers who encourage, through out his professional career, more and more women study and opt for STEM professions (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

The award is aimed at those women of reference who, for his college and career background, have achieved great achievements and/or recognitions in the field of engineering in companies, public or private institutions or organizations.

This award, endowed with 25.000 EUR, aims last to overcome gender stereotypes about this profession and boost the professional relevance of women, both in the industry and in college, recognizing his excellence and dedication.

The president of Talgo, Carlos Palacio Oriol, said: “The number of women who opt for technical careers remains well below the number of men. We have created this Award to give visibility to the great professionals we have in the field of engineering in our country and to promote in future generations of engineers the interest in this profession as a means to contribute to the development of society.”

Participants will have up to 31 March of 2020 up to the 21:00h CET to submit their applications through the digital form on the Prize website: www.ingenieraexcelente.com
