More than 70 programmers participated in the competition of international programming Coding Contest

Last Friday 27 Coding Contest at the Escuela de Ingeniería Informática of Valladolid was again held from April. It brought together more than 70 participants in the international programming contest, and joined more of 2900 contestants around the world, harvesting a successful participation even bigger than last year.

The participants had to confront a problem that should detect asteroids from space images, and to solve it, they had to create a computer program, for each level. All this during the 4 hours lasting competition.

Finished the contest, It resulted in a space in which participants were able to contact and technology companies with local headquarters, as Cognizant and FiveFlamesMobile; e international, such as GRASP and Catalysts.

The event was organized by the team of competitive programming at the University, UVaCoders, as well as by the school of computer engineering and the University of Valladolid.
