Calling all software engineers!

Girls in Tech and program SVIP Silicon Valley Internship are collaborating to offer this opportunity to Start up a business in Silicon Valley, a grant will be paid for one year with a type J1 visa.

Candidates who are selected to work full time with engineering teams in start-ups sponsored by the program, and develop their entrepreneurial skills through a structured program, with hackathons and activities, created by Girls in Tech and SVIP, helping to make possible the conversion of ideas into companies at the end of the year award. When the program ends the students return to their country of origin, taking with them some of the secret of success of Silicon Valley entrepreneur.

The candidates selected in the program receive a salary $60,000 during the year. The GIT / SVIP team will organize visas, flights, first month of accommodation and related logistics.

The requirements To enroll in this program are:

  • Having obtained a degree in Software Engineering or similar qualification in the last 5 years.
  • Demonstrate ability to schedule at least one programming language.
  • Feeling comfortable in a work environment in English
  • Be willing to be in Silicon Valley, California for a year
  • Being a woman ; )

Program Dates:

The deadline for applications opens in October 2015.
Interviews and matching of the start-ups are planned for early 2016.
Those selected would move to Silicon Valley at the end of August early September 2016.
